I ran 6 miles today and the ankle did well.
Pace 9.27 per mile.
I walked 1.24 miles at 8:14 am and then 2.52 miles at 9:12 am very slowly and the ankle was better.
I walked 2.71 miles today (pace 17.11 per mile) and the ankle was still hurting..
Don't run at night...
The sun sets at around 4:30 PM and I went out at 6:11 PM. Running slow but one car came too close, I moved to the left and clack!! My left ankle fell in a gap between the pavement and some trees. I came to a complete stop and then walked for a little while and the pain went away and then continued running.
I finished 5.31 miles and noticed that my anckle was swolen.
A couple of hours later I had difficulty walking..
My coach said:
"rest, ice and elevate your ankle today. Ice for 20 min on and 20 min off for most of the day if you can. It's probably a mild sprain. Take it easy for today and if it's sore tomorrow do the same. Luckily those heal quickly, I've had many. :) "
I ran/walked 2.56 miles today.

Generate cells using parthenogenesis, a form of asexual reproduction in which an embryo can develop without fertilization. Parthenogenesis occurs naturally in some plants and vertebrates, but not in mammals. However, scientists can trick mammalian eggs into undergoing parthenogenesis by activating the egg as if it had been fertilized. To date, such embryos have been generated in mice, primates, and even humans. Human versions of these embryos are called parthenotes; they survive only a few days and are therefore unable to develop into a human life.
Daley cautions that many tests still need to be done before such therapies can be developed for patients. For example, since parthenote cells carry two sets of maternal genes, they may have abnormal gene expression. "We will try to determine if cells made from parthenotes will function normally," says Daley.

I ran 5.75 miles today.

The 111th edition of the Boston Marathon will be very special. This year Mark Porter will run the marathon again teamed up with Andy.
More information at: www.mark4andy.com
Mark is a cancer survivor and last year he ran his first marathon. He liked it so much that he's doing it again. Back in April after finishing the race he told me that it was the best experience he’s ever had.... He invited me to run the Boston Marathon in 2007.
My brother Victor will run the marathon.
More information at: www.vic4andy.com
Victor is running because "Children's Hospital Boston saved my nephews life".
And I will run for the doctors, nurses and researchers that saved Andy's life on multiple occasions. I will run for Six West, the stem cell transplant unit at Children's Hospital Boston where Andy had the stem cell transplant two years ago. And I will run to thank the runners who ran in previous years for Andy.
Please help us give back to Children's Hospital Boston.
I ran 3.93 miles today.
I ran 6 miles today,
And I thought about Jacob who received his stem cells today.
His Dad said:
The bone marrow cells arrived in an infusion bag and were a bright, vibrant, Christmas red....Now we’re into the magical 30 days when the cells begin to grow – he still has the mouth sores and the hair loss and the very close monitoring in front of him. Please pray that God will protect his little body completely and bring this good work of healing to completion. Please pray that God’s grace would fall upon JT powerfully during this long, long recovery time. Jodi prayed that these donor cells would feel right at home in Jacob’s body – I like that.

While running I thought about Simon. I hope that the chemo therapy only does whats intended to do. I hope that medical research finds a way to substitute defective or malformed cells with treatments and procedures that are not as agressive.
